We are into some hilly, moraine-type country right now, probably a day and a half’s travel from the ocean itself. There were a lot of ups and downs, but also some really fast stretches.

The weather was windy, and we had a soft snow that fell overnight, which covered up everything. And then the wind blew it around. We had a southeast wind, then east, and the now a northeast wind. The barometer is going up and down, so weather-wise we’re not sure what is going to happen. The wind is blowing outside, rattling the tent. It is above zero, probably about 10 degrees Fahrenheit, but the windchill is pretty low.

The travel today was good, the three dog teams stayed pretty much together. We have a German film crew coming in a day after tomorrow. We will be meeting them at noon at a given location, which we will determine tomorrow. They will fly in and do some filming that day, and then travel with us into Pelly Bay. If the weather holds, we should be in Pelly by Thursday.
