We are still in Iglulik. We spent the day interviewing elders, and had really good meetings. We worked with Dan Grossman, who is putting together a piece for American Radio Works on global climate change, which will air on National Public Radio in August. And Dan got some really good recordings of music in the morning.

The weather is very warm, just slightly below freezing, but it is night now, about 11 p.m. There are some clouds coming in, but this is the first time we’ve had a really warm evening. A real sign of spring. There are dark clouds over the open water here, very dark clouds, almost looks like a thunderstorm.

We will be leaving tomorrow night, around 11 p.m. We are going to stay up late tonight and get in shape, as we are going to switch our hours, moving ahead by about 14 hours.

We’ve been keeping busy here all day.
