Distance Traveled: Not reported

The usual day of travel, I traveled with Eric all day long. The time went really nicely. We traveled down a river that went into one of the fjords on the northern end of Baffin Island, so it was our last day of land travel on Baffin. We had a little bit of adventure, there were rapids that we had to go around, steep areas over land that didn’t have much snow on them, and then down these shoots that were frozen. There was no danger involved, but a little bit of a challenge getting the sleds over barren ground, and down the steep inclines.

The temperature dropped down to about 30 degrees Fahrenheit. It was cloudy most of the day, a little bit of sunshine broke around 4 a.m. But it was a good day of travel, about 30 miles. We have about four more days of travel until we reach Pond Inlet, and I have a hunch that Pond will be the end of the expedition. I think spring is going to catch us as the weather warms.
