Late Dec 2007 thru Feb 2008 – ANTARCTICA
Oceans 8 - Educational Project along with Jon Bowermaster
Five weeks of exploring the Weddell Sea side of the Peninsula by sea kayak, foot and sailboat beginning the last week of December 2007. We intend to get as close as we can to what remains of the Larsen Ice Shelf, to document how it is today.

March-June 2008 - ELLESMERE ISLAND
Five emerging leaders, ages 21-27, join Steger on a 1,400 mile international dogsled expedition across Ellesmere Island. They’ll follow the footsteps of legendary polar explorers and visit the endangered and collapsed ice shelves - due to global warming.

Oct–Nov 2008 - WESTERN ANTARCTICA
Steger is planning to kite ski from the West Antarctic Ice Sheet to the collapsed Larsen B ice shelf. Reports will include how the shelf has changed and the looming threats global warming imposes on the ice sheet.


2009 Greenland Expedition
Steger and his expedition team will traverse Greenland, north/south, 1800 miles, to document the changes of the ice sheet. They’ll be reporting on the imposing threats, challenges, and explore the opportunities for solutions.
